Interview with the Kids
Shoot a sweet video interview with the kids – talk show style! Dress them up, set up a cute back drop and ask them those “hard hitting” questions about Dad. Here are a few sample questions to get your wheels turning:
- How did you first meet your dad?
- What is dad best at?
- What is dad worse at?
- What is your favorite thing to do with your dad?
- What do you love most about your dad?

Adventure Date on the Road
If you want to splurge ( just a little) rent a fun car or convertible, hire a sitter and hit the road for a mini adventure! Sometimes mom and dad just need a little refueling.
Movie Tickets
This is so simple and honestly what any dad (and mom) really wants; a little break and some quality “me time.” Consider giving dad movie tickets and a day off and do it with some flair. We found the cutest printable from Live Craft Love! Just make a little popcorn bucket, attach the printable card and add some movie ticket gift cards. Done! He will be eternally grateful.
Shrinky Dink Portrait Key Chain
This is a cute craft the kids get to be a part of. Have the kids draw on shrinky dink paper, cut out the images (making sure to add a hole), bake according to the paper instructions and then attach a key ring. We love these little hand drawn portraits from Messy Little Monster!
Sidewalk Chalk Portraits
This might be the easiest gift of all. Create a chalk drawing for dad on the ground and then have your kids pose along with it. Have the kids help come up with the idea and the message to write.
